Navigate through playlists, albums, artists and songs with track up/down, fast-forward/reverse, scan, random and repeat functions using the factory radio, MMI and steering wheel controls. Does not lock out the iPod or iPhone's controls or display, so the iPod or iPhone can be used to select music as well. Charges iPod or iPhone while docked. Navigation, Bluetooth, satellite radio and OEM CD changer will continue to function. The included interface has full text display capability, auxiliary input for other audio sources and USB support for other mp3 devices. iPod or iPhone text and search information are displayed directly on the OEM video screen. This package will also now work to integrate your iPod or iPhone into the iDrive system for 7-series models manufactured from 2002-March 2005 (previously not possible). You will not be able to navigate the iPod or iPhone's content from the iDrive system, but you will be able to choose music on the iPod or iPhone itself, hear audio through the OEM system, charge and use track up/down functions on the steering wheel. Your vehicle MUST be equipped with an OEM MP3-capable CD changer for this package to function as described. You can determine if you have an OEM MP3 CD changer by inserting an MP3 CD into the OEM changer. If you are able to navigate through this disc's files using the iDrive system, then you have an MP3 changer. If this is not the case, please see model number BMWE60V2IOEMPKG.
