In 1994, Reverend Inagaki published a comprehensive translation with introduction and notes of the three Pure Land Sutras under the title "The Three Pure Land Sutras: A Study and Translation" which was subsequently reprinted in 2000.  Since the book is heavily loaded with doctrinal explanations, Rev. Inagaki has published "The Larger Sutra on the Buddha of Infinite Life" in response to the need for a simpler version for the general reader.
