Bill Goodman, Watercolors & Acrylics Bill Goodman's drawings and paintings leaned towards the subject of the American West. He fell in love with the West through the songs that his father, Dick Goodman of the Reinsmen sang, and the many Western actors and artists that he met through his father's music career. Some of the western artists who had an influence on Bill are, Bob Wagoner, Bill Shaddix, Bob Nolan, Roy Rogers, Michael Martin Murphy, Ken Curtis, and the cast of the TV series Gunsmoke. They welcomed his appetite for the history of the West and encouraged him to express his feelings through his artistic talents. Bill has a very unique talent of reflecting those days on the open ranges of the West. He presents the nostalgia of these passing times onto his canvas. Whether it's a traditional painting of the trail-herding cowboy, of a mountain scene from a bygone era, or a myriad of colors found only in the High Sierra, the viewer is transported back to a special time and place in history.
