Our twist on a traditional French confection... Traditional French mendiants are typcially served at the end of Christmas dinner. Little chocolate disks are studded with nuts and dried fruits symbolizing the four mendicant or monastic orders and the color of their robes - raisins for the Dominicans, hazelnuts for the Augustinians, dried figs for the Franciscans, and almonds for the Carmelites. Well...we've taken these sweet little confections and added our own twist, incorporating fruits and nuts from around the world.
