Our shipping carrier is the United States Parcel Service (USPS), UPS (United Parcel Service) and on occasion Federal Express. Therefore shipping charges are calculated using the specific carrier's rates. Those rates are reflected in your shopping cart based on the weight of each item to be purchased after the item has been wrapped and packed. If you are ordering several items the actual cost of shipping may be slightly lower than reflected on your invoice since the system is automated and calculates each product individually. When combining items to be shipped the weight is typically lower. If we find that your total amount due for shipping is lower than invoiced and paid you will receive a refund for the difference minus handling fees.

The total amount for shipping costs will be displayed on the invoice you see before confirming your order. Shipping methods offered are Priority Mail, Parcel Post, First Class and if shipped internationally, USPS International Priority shipping services. UPS methods offered are Ground, 3 Day Express. Shipping insurance (generally at a cost of $1.75 is set by the USPS and may increase based on the value of the item(s)) is required on all orders except children's coloring books or handkerchiefs.

Elegant Wedding Accessories accepts credit and debit cards such as Discover, MasterCard, Visa and American Express through PayPal. We do not accept payment over the phone at this time. You may also pay via e-Check through PayPal, money orders (US Postal money orders only) or personal check.

International orders may pay through PayPal, eCheck through PayPal or money orders drawn on a US Bank (no personal checks from international orders accepted).

If mailing your payment you must include the Item # or User ID with payment so that your payment can be matched with the order purchasing items through our site.

Also make sure your name, current address and phone number (with area code) are reflected on the check. Please write in the Item # and User ID to ensure smooth processing. This is done for your safety and ours to ensure that the person making the purchase is the person to whom the personal check belongs.

Unfortunately checks that have hand written changes other than the Item # and User ID cannot be accepted. The check will be returned to the customer and the order placed on hold.

If paying with personal check or money order payment is due within 7 business days from the date of purchase. Please notify seller if you need more than 7 days to mail payment. Remember, making a purchase from Elegant Wedding Accessories through it's web store (http://www.elegantweddingaccessories.biz or http://stores.elegantweddingaccessory.com) initiates a legal binding contract between you, the Buyer, and Elegant Wedding Accessories, the Seller. If you purchase an item you are required to pay for that item. Please do not make a purchase if you are hesitant at all about making or following through with the purchase. Yes. To acquire a quote for an international shipment you will need to contact customer services prior to placing your order to inquire about the shipping method and cost. Please provide your entire phone number and address.

When preparing packages for international shipment: International buyers must include their entire phone number for processing to be able to ship the order. This is a requirement by customs.

Note: International orders will not include a note on the customs form that the package is a gift as it would be illegal. Please do not request that.

Elegant Wedding Accessories does not ship to a P.O. Box Number. If you provide a ship-to address that reflects a P.O. Box address, our Customer Service Department will contact you via email to acquire a physical address. Our manufacturers will not under any circumstances accept an order that reflects shipment to a P.O. Address. The order will be placed on hold that may cause a delay in processing the order until the customer provides a correct mailing address.

If an order with a P.O. Box address is accidentally shipped no request for refund or exchange will be accepted for claims of damage, non-delivered or undeliverable for that order. A street address is needed to complete an order.

An "Order Confirmation" email is sent to you automatically at the e-mail address you provided during the check-out process after placing your order. That e-mail is confirmation to you that Elegant Wedding Accessories has received notification of your order. Until notification is received from PayPal that payment has been received the order is automatically placed on hold.

Payment is due at the time of purchase unless the order has been placed in lay-away at which time the required deposits are due as scheduled. If payment via personal check or U.S. Postal Money Order, payments should be received by 7 days from the date of your purchase.

Once you have made your selection you will need to go through the check-out process. You will be taken to a screen where you will asked to input your "Ship to Address". Be sure that you do enter all information requested to acquire the correct shipping cost and to insure that your order is shipped to the correct address. Follow the instruction on the screen. You will be presented with a final order amount prior to issuing payment.

All orders are reviewed to ensure smooth processing. If a problem is noticed with the order the customer will be contacted either by email or phone call by Elegant Wedding Accessories Customer Service and corrections, changes or additional arrangements will be made. That order will be placed on hold until the buyer provides the requested information.

If paying via PayPal your order is processed after notification has been received from PayPal that processing of your payment has been completed and Elegant Wedding Accessories has all the correct information needed from the buyer. If paying with personal check or money order your order will be processed once payment has been processed through our banking facility. You may see a note on your order confirmation that the item may ship within 7-14 days. Please note that this means, if paying via personal check, the item leaves my facility in 7 to 14 business days (except during holidays and weekends or hot weather if a candle) once payment has been received and processed through the banking facility. Orders received on weekends or holidays will be shipped on the first business day following those dates. This is to avoid any damage to the item(s) you purchased being left in holding warehouses during the weekend or holidays. Some manufacturers ship once a week. That information is provided on the product description page.

Special Orders, orders with engraving or manufacturer's order typically take a week longer to process. Please remember, it may take 3-14 days to process your order. Please contact us through Customer Services to inquire about any item needed by a specific date prior to placing your order. Elegant Wedding Accessories will try our best to process those orders where we have received notification from the buyer requesting delivery by a certain date prior to placing the order but does not guarantee the delivery date of any order since an outside vendor (USPS) handles all shipments. Please understand Elegant Wedding Accessories has no control over weather, road conditions, personnel or any other matter occurring outside of Elegant Wedding Accessories.

Shipping charges for items purchased from Elegant Wedding Accessories are based completely on USPS and/or UPS "calculated rates" and weight of the total order after it has been wrapped and packaged based on shipping from Elegant Wedding Accessories zip code to the zip code you input when you make your purchase. Note: Elegant Wedding Accessories utilizes an automated shipping system that is based on USPS or UPS shipping rates using their shipping zones. If their shipping charges change due to a rate increase, shipping charges reflected on your invoice reflect that increase. To request First Class Mail please contact Elegant Wedding Accessories so you can be sent an invoice reflecting the postage you requested. If the Buyer has requested First Class Mail, Parcel Post or another method, then the proper shipping charge will be charged for that specific type of shipping method. If the Buyer has selected First Class Mail but has ordered an item that restricts First Class Mail the Buyer will be notified and informed about the correct method of shipping and any additional costs involved. A corrected invoice will be emailed to the Buyer at that time. Buyer is responsible for the difference in shipping charges.

If the description is related to a piece of jewelry, the description will reference cultured pearl if the pearls are real. At this time all jewelry items are cultured (real) pearls. If the description does not reference cultured pearls, then the pearls are faux pearls. Most items offered in my store (other than jewelry) are generally made with faux pearls.

Silver-plated items do tarnish but this is completely normal as all silver-plated items tarnish. Items sold from Elegant Wedding Accessories are new (unless "Vintage" has been added to the title) and come in the original manufacturer`s packaging. Elegant Wedding Accessories cannot guarantee that the item you will receive will not be tarnished. Silver-plated items can be easily cleaned by using silver polish or a rag used specifically for cleaning silver and silver-plated items. Returns/exchanges or refunds are not accepted on silver-plated items due to tarnish.

Some books are acquired from wholesale distributors whose inventory is comprised of remainders and closeouts from the publishers. These books are not used or damaged but may have remainder marks placed by the publisher on the outer upper or lower edge of the book. These books are not damaged but generally are returned to the publisher due to overstocking and closeouts. Returns, refunds or exchanges on are not accepted on remainder books. The black mark is not a defect in or damage to the book.

To help prevent any damage to your order caused by heat during summer months Elegant Wedding Accessories ships all candles via Priority Mail beginning May 1 through September 15th and only during the week days. Candle orders will not be processed on the weekend during the "heat" months to ensure the order will not be stored in a hot warehouse. This is done to help prevent heat damage to the product you have ordered. If you placed a large order (during the time frame mentioned above) the candles will be shipped separately. If weather is cooler during the typically "hot" Texas months candles will be shipped without any delay. Candles are shipped in perfect condition with care in packaging. Note: If the summer heat does not subside by September 15th you will be notified via email if your order will require shipping using the standards above to try to prevent any damage to your candle due to heat. Or, if weather permits and there is no danger of candles melting, your candle may be shipped with other items you purchased. Candles will not be shipped on Friday or Saturday or immediately prior to holidays (during the summer months) to ensure that they are not damaged by heat. Candles cannot be shipped to international addresses.

Some manufacturing companies pack their candles in Styrofoam which may leave some slight marks on the bottom of the candle. These are barely visible and normal due to packaging that cause no damage to the product. No refunds or exchanges are made due to these marks.

Staff searches for and may acquire vintage items that are of excellent quality and would hopefully be an wonderful addition to any wedding ceremony or reception. These items are found at estate sales, antique malls or stores or auctions. They are being offered for sale for the bride who wants to add something different and beautiful to her ceremony and/or reception. Vintage items carry no warranty or come with any guarantee. They may have some defects (missing parts, chips, discolorations, signs of usage, spots, etc.) due to their age and possible past use and those defects will be referenced in the description since a visual inspection is completed on all vintage inventory. That information will be reflected and may have an additinal photograph (unless it`s too small to show up or we just missed noticing it). Some items that listed as vintage may not have been used but since they were acquired at an auction, estate sale, etc., and their past history is unknown, they will be listed as vintage. Items acquired through various resources such as estate sales or auctions, etc. may include purses, cake toppers and candle holders, etc.

Products that are considered "single use items", "vintage" or "as-is" are non-returnable, non-refundable and not accepted for exchange. Specifically "single use items" non-returnable, non-refundable and un-exchangeable items include: all candles including unity and taper, centerpiece or decorative candles, garters, cake toppers, cake serving sets, aisle runners, planning books, children's activity surprise packages or activity/coloring books, drinking goblets/toasting flutes, any item that can be used on the body (for example garters, hair combs, tiaras, etc.) and any floral product including freeze dried flowers, silk petals or kissing balls. Vintage or As-Is items are those marked Vintage or As-Is either in the title or description and are non-returnable and non-refundable. No exceptions can be made to any item on this list. Additionally many of the products sold through Elegant Wedding Accessories on-line web store are acquired from wholesalers/manufacturers/suppliers who have their own set of policies regarding exchanges and/or returns. In those cases the determination made by those specific wholesalers/manufacturers/suppliers regarding the return/exchange/refund of any order if final. Please review Returns/Refunds Policies and Procedures for detailed information and instructions.

Some of the silk rose petals, darker colors, may have an odor when you initially open the manufacturer's shipping package. This odor is caused by the dye used during the manufacturing process.  It is not a defect of the product. To eliminate the odor: Remove the petals from the plastic shipping container. Place the petals into a pillow cover. Insert a dryer sheet and tie the pillow bag. Place the tied pillow cover into the dryer. Turn the dryer to air dry (NEVER USE HEAT). Run the dryer for a few minutes to remove the dye odor.

If you made a payment through PayPal your refund will be processed by Elegant Wedding Accessories through PayPal and you will be notified by our Customer Service Department and an email from PayPal. If you made payment through personal check or money order you will receive a check from Elegant Wedding Accessories once the check or money order for the product(s) ordered have been processed. Elegant Wedding Accessories does not make cash refunds nor do we accept any payment that is more than the amount billed, invoiced or due. If a payment is received that is more than the total due, it will be returned and the order will be delayed until the correct amount is received. This is done to protect both the buyer and Elegant Wedding Accessories.

Buyer is responsible for shipping, handling and insurance charges.

A: Jewelry

To ensure delivery of your jewelry all jewelry orders will require shipping insurance and shipped USPS Priority Mail requiring a signature upon receipt. Please provide an address where you will be available to accept and sign for your shipment. Please do not authorize/waive a signature release. USPS will provide notification that you have a package to be picked up at the Post Office or you can request the mail carrier to re-deliver the order by contacting the appropriate postal office. In the event the customer has a signature release waiver, Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) will not be held liable for missing or non-delivered merchandise. No jewelry orders will be shipped to P.O. boxes.

All other orders are insured through USPS and shipped Priority Mail, First Class Mail (weighing 13 oz or less), Parcel Post, UPS and upon request Express unless otherwise specified or requested on other than Jewelry items.

All items sold are required to have shipping insurance if shipped directly from Elegant Wedding Accessories. (Note: International orders may not have an option to purchase insurance.) This is to protect you, our customer, in case the item is damaged during shipment. Rates are based on the value of the item purchased and are set by the USPS. Remember...if you placed an order for multiple items and are purchasing insurance, you will want to insure all items being shipped. Insurance charges are non-refundable in the event of a return, exchange or refund. Value is set based on the items original retail value not what was paid if the items is purchased below retail value.

Yes, since the majority or orders are shipped/mailed in various size boxes, envelopes, bubble envelopes of various sizes. These items and packing material must be purchased to try to prevent damage to your order during shipment. Therefore a small fee is included to help cover the cost of those items. Handling charges are automatically added to your shipping charge when you go through the check-out process. The handling fee is a one time charge added each order and is non-refundable in the event of a return. Refunds on handling charges are not allowed but if the Buyer has overpaid for shipping costs we will issue the buyer a refund for overpayment of shipping charges and send notification to Buyer of such refund.

Yes. Elegant Wedding Accessories offers combined item weight on multiple purchases made together. Any purchase made after the initial purchase will not be eligible for the combined weight discount unless buyer sends me a email informing me that they are purchasing another item and notification is received prior to the original order being prepared.

Notate the damage visable on the box. If it is showing major damage STOP do not open the box at this point. Be sure to follow the instructions on the next question below. If there is minor damage to the outside box go ahead and open the box. Hopefully since most items are individually wrapped or are packed in individual boxes inside the shipping box, or wrapped in bubble wrap there is less chance for damage, and you may find that your order has sustained no damage.For questions on the status of your package please call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) or go to http://www.usps.com.

First (and very importantly) send us an email at: Customer Service and be sure to retain all packing material, shipping boxes associated with the order. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY.

Elegant Wedding Accessories acquired shipping insurance through USPS.

You will be required to download a claim form and file through them. Note: Representatives from USPS will want to see the packing material, shipping box and item damaged, that is why it is very important to leave it as you received it. Before issuing a refund the product must be returned USPS. You can go to the United States Postal Service Web Site (www.usps.com) to acquire procedures for filing a claim.

Note: If the item is defective from the supplier/manufacturer and is not considered a "Single-Use", "As-Is" or "Vintage" item and you have met the requirements for requesting a refund/return, the defective item must be returned to Elegant Wedding Accessories with all its original packaging and with the original packaging, tags, cartons, slips that was enclosed with your order. The item must be delivered to and received by Elegant Wedding Accessories before a request for a refund or exchange can be completed. If the item is lost in the mail when returning the item to Elegant Wedding Accessories, the purchaser is responsible for the value of the item and no refund will be provided.

The U.S. Postal Service provides tracking for packages. They will inform you of the status of packages and when delivery has been made or attempted. For questions on the status of your USPS package please call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) or go to at http://www.usps.com and check the shipping status of your order. Once shipment has left Elegant Wedding Accessories, we have no control over delivery or handling of the order and must refer all questions to the shipping company. If the item is not delivered, and ample time has been provided for delivery (7-14 days US shipments), contact us so that we can request a formal search. USPS has been asked on occasion to track a shipment that has taken longer than expected and they were able to provide Elegant Wedding Accessories with complete information about the item and although the package was delayed during the transportation process it was finally delivered. So it is advised that you go ahead and contact them to find out the status of your package. Elegant Wedding Accessories cannot guarantee that they will be able to provide delivery information.

Elegant Wedding Accessories cannot provide tracking for international orders. Customs does not have any method of tracking when an item is received or shipped.
