Payment Policy

Payment for U.S. Orders

Accepted forms of payment are: Credit or Debit cards from VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, or AMERICAN EXPRESS, e-check through PayPal, U.S. Postal Money Orders or personal checks. All credit, debit and e-check payments are processed through PayPal.

There is absolutely no fee or charge to set up an account with PayPal and if you don't already have an account it's quick and easy and you can use that same account to shop with many other e-commerce stores. Please go to: PayPal.com to set up an account if you don't already have one. Sorry, no C.O.D.'s are accepted.

Payments made with Money Orders or Personal Check must include the Item #, SKU # and item name with payment. Personal checks with handwritten changes made to the check will not be accepted. Correct name, address and phone number must be reflected on all personal checks.

If paying with personal check or money order payment is due within 7 business days from the date of purchase. Please notify seller if you need more than 7 days to mail payment.

Verification of Orders and Processing of Payments

Payments made by PayPal

If paying via PayPal your order is processed after notification has been received from PayPal that processing of your payment has been completed and Elegant Wedding Accessories has all the correct information needed from the buyer. There are occasions when PayPal notifies the accounting office at Elegant Wedding Accessories that a customer making a purchase is listed as an "unverified" member. This typically happens when the billing address is different than the requested ship-to address. When Elegant Wedding Accessories receives this notification from PayPal our Customer Service Department may send the customer an email requesting that they verify the order being sent to a different Ship-to-Address than is reflected as the Purchaser's Billing Address when the order was placed. The individual initiating the purchase is required to verify that they did request a different address by responding to this email indicating that the information is either correct or incorrect prior to the order being processed. This is done to try to protect the consumer against any unauthorized use of their PayPal accounts. If a customer is "unverified" then an additional $1.95 signature confirmation charge is added to the shipping cost of the order. Any order where the Buyer is classified "unverified" by PayPal, a delivery confirmation signature presented by the shipping carrier is required. No exceptions. (added 7/10/2009) When a response is received acknowledging the order processing can be completed. If the purchaser responds to the verification request indicating that they did not make the order, that information will be handed over to the local authorities and PayPal will be notified. Unfortunately if verification is not received the payment will not be accepted and the order will be cancelled.

All orders are reviewed to ensure smooth processing. If a problem is noticed with the order the customer will be contacted either by email or phone by Elegant Wedding Accessories Customer Service. Corrections, changes or additional arrangements will be made if possible. That order will be placed on hold until the buyer provides the requested information.

Payments made by Check/U.S. Postal Money Order

If paying with personal check or money order your order will be processed once payment has been processed through our banking facility. You may see a note on your email order confirmation that you received immediately after you placed your order that the item may ship within 7-14 days. Please note that this means, if paying via personal check, the item leaves our facility in 7 to 14 business days (except during holidays and weekends or hot weather if a candle) once payment has been received and successfully processed through the banking facility. Orders received on weekends or holidays will be shipped on the first business day following those dates. This is to avoid any damage to the item(s) you purchased being left in holding warehouses during the weekend or holidays. No order will be shipped prior to the payment process being completed.

Special Orders/Engraving/Personalization

Special Orders, orders with engraving or manufacturer's order typically take a week longer to process. Remember, it may take 3-14 days to process your order. Contact us through Customer Service to inquire about any item needed by a specific date prior to placing your order. Elegant Wedding Accessories will try our best to process those orders where we have received notification from the buyer requesting delivery by a certain date prior to placing the order but does not guarantee the delivery date of any order since an outside vendor (USPS) or UPS handles all shipments. Please understand Elegant Wedding Accessories has no control over weather, road conditions, personnel or any other matter occurring outside of Elegant Wedding Accessories.

Payment for International Orders

Accepted forms of payment are: PAYPAL or US Postal money orders drawn on US Banks only.

Payment via Personal Check or U.S. Postal Money Order

Payment is due within 7 days from the date of the sale.

Remember making a purchase from Elegant Wedding Accessories through it's web store (http://www.elegantweddingaccessories.biz or http://stores.elegantweddingaccessory.com) is a legal and binding contract that you, the buyer, agreed to when the order was submitted. If payment has not been received within 7 days from the date of sale or the date the invoice was issued to Buyer, one (1) reminder will be sent via e-mail to the buyer reminding buyer that payment has not been received. If payment has not been received within 14 days from the date of date of sale and if the Buyer has not resolved the problem by issuing the correct payment due for item(s) ordered, the Buyer will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Non-Sufficient Funds

If there are problems processing your payment such as Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) or other possible problems related to your payment we will send an email to you or call you and the order will be placed on hold until such time as the NSF is cleared or the problem is resolved as long as it does not go over a two week period.

A processing fee of $35.00 (each time the check is processed as NSF) is charged to buyer or individual issuing payment for any checks that have been returned as NSF and will be added to the total of the order. The additional fee will be collected prior to shipment of any order. The order will not be considered completed/final or closed until all fees are paid by Buyer.

The check will be processed through the banking facility a total of one time prior to being held for NSF charges. Buyer is responsible for reimbursing Seller for any bank charges related to a NSF charge whether the order is processed or canceled. Once NSF charges have been received from the individual issuing payment the check will be returned to the person to whom the check belongs. NSF charges are not considered canceled if the order is not completed, the Buyer does not correct the problem or the order is considered canceled. The order will immediately be placed on hold if there are any problems with the check and the order will be canceled if those problems are not resolved.

Any order placed on hold for a period of two weeks will be automatically canceled. After two weeks from the date of the original purchase if the problem has not been resolved, the order will be considered as canceled and if the Buyer has not corrected the problem or the correct payment and fees has not been received, the Buyer will be reported to the appropriate authorities and blocked from making future purchases at Elegant Wedding Accessories.biz or any of it's other e-commerce store sites.

Stop Payment

Stop payments of checks are not accepted for any reason. If you mailed a check for payment of an order and that payment was submitted to Elegant Wedding Accessories financial institution, sufficient time for the check to clear is required. If a stop payment of the check is requested by the customer through their financial institution, the customer will be responsible for the entire amount of the order, including shipping and taxes (if required) plus a $35.00 processing fee charged by the financial institution and a $35.00 processing fee charge from Elegant Wedding Accessories. No order will be shipped until full payment has been received. If the full payment amount plus fee costs are not paid in full, the unpaid bill will be submitted to the proper credit reporting agencies and submitted for collection.
