ELEGANT WEDDING ACCESSORIES RETURN POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND DEFINITIONS

Elegant Wedding Accessories wants you to be happy with your purchase. However there are some times that we can't control flaws such as manufacturing flaws. If you receive an item that does have a manufacturing flaw, and the flaw wasn't included in the item description (there are times that a product will be sold at a discounted price due to flaws) we will work with you to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. 

To request a return:

    You must notify Elegant Wedding Accessories via e-mail at Customer Service within 3 business days from the date you received the order (meaning within 3 days from the carrier's reported delivery date) and provide the following information: 

    ★Invoice #

    ★Wedding Date (mm/dd/yyyy)  (must match date on original order)

    ★Date of Purchase

    ★Name of Purchaser

    ★Method of Payment, i.e., PayPal, Money Order, Personal Check, e-check

    ★Shipping Address

    ★Date Received by you

    ★Item SKU# of the product(s) you are requesting to be returned

    ★Quantity of each product purchased

    ★Cost of product(s) (do not include shipping, insurance or handling fees)

    ★Indicate problem (be as specific as possible) with each product being returned.

Elegant Wedding Accessories will respond via email to you providing the following information and instructions:

  • All of the above requested information must be provided by the buyer/purchaser before the return process can begin.  Returns must be received by Elegant Wedding Accessories within 10 days of the purchase date in their original condition, showing no signs of use or wear and undamaged.
  • The manufacturer's containers, any enclosed documentation such as warranty cards, manuals; all accessories sent; tags and all original product packaging must be returned with the product(s) unmarked in the same condition as you received them.
  • If the purchase was a set or multi-item pack, it must all be returned together at one time and if the set was packaged in the same manufacturing box as a unit, it must be returned in the same manner.

    NOT APPROVED FOR RETURN/REFUND PROCESSING:

  • Any order that has been shipped by Elegant Wedding Accessories, the manufacturer or floral supplier but has not had time to be received/delivered by/to the customer.
  • Any return without a RMA issued by Elegant Wedding Accessories; or requested after the 3 day notification period has lapsed or the return order is received from purchaser/buyer after the 10 day return period.
  • Used, worn, as-is, single-use, floral, vintage or used products (see details on this page).  If a product is eligible for return a restocking fee will be assessed.
  • Special orders including: floral, personalized, engraved, monogrammed or specially sized product.
  • Orders placed, shipped or received on or after the wedding date.
  • Products (including candles) damaged due to heat or candles showing marks on the top or bottom from packing Styrofoam. Elegant Wedding Accessories does not have any control over the product or shipping process once the order has been submitted to the shipping carrier or damage that could have been caused if the item was delivered and possibly left out in the weather.
  • Any product or order where a RMA# was issued, and the order assigned to that specific RMA# is returned and received by Elegant Wedding Accessories damaged and no shipping insurance was purchased by buyer; or, is reported shipped by the buyer not received by seller or cannot be tracked through the shipping carrier and buyer did not purchase insurance.
  • Any "exchange" order that is returned to Elegant Wedding Accessories where the original product/order had received approval from Elegant Wedding Accessories for exchange and had an RMA # assigned to the original order, and; where the "new exchanged order" is then returned to Elegant Wedding Accessories without going through the approval process. RMA #'s can be used one time and that must be with the original order. The exchange order is classified as a new order and cannot be returned. Any order that was shipped to a customer as an exchange and is then returned to Elegant Wedding Accessories will be returned to the customer and no refund/exchange will be approved or processed. All shipping fees are the full responsibility of the customer and Elegant Wedding Accessories will not pay/refund any shipping fees.
  • Rose Petals - Freeze dried or silk rose petals cannot be returned for a refund or exchange. Rose petals are considered a Single Use and Specialty Order item. Any rose petal order received that does not match the color reflected on the "store's monitor" is not eligible for return/refund or exchange. Sample orders of rose petals are available to help ensure the color does match your color scheme/theme. Sample orders for freeze dried rose petals or silk rose petals are not refundable/exchangeable. Silk rose petals are petals that have been dyed. Rose Petals that have an odor are not eligible for return/refund or exchange. (see below for instructions on removing odor).

    A.    Silver or Silver Plated Products

    • Silver and silver-plated items do tarnish and is normal, therefore is not refundable or returnable.  Products sold by Elegant Wedding Accessories are new (unless marked Vintage) and delivered in manufacturer's packaging.  Tarnish is removable by using silver polish or a rag specifically manufactured for cleaning silver.

     

    B.   Books

    • Some book(s) may have a remainder (black) marks made by the publisher on the outer upper or lower outside edge of the book.  This mark means they are returned to the publisher due to overstocking and closeouts and is not a defect in the book therefore not accepted for returns or refunds.

    C.   "As-Is, Single-Use, Floral, Specialty Order, Vintage or Used" Products Not Eligible for Return or Refund

    • As-Is Products: Any product that has "as-is" written anywhere in the title or within the description of the product. Typically these items have manufacturer flaws, bumps or scratches or are discounted due to defects.

    • Single-use products at Elegant Wedding Accessories include all: jewelry (including necklaces, jewelry sets, earrings or bracelets), cake serving sets or knifes, cake toppers including cake jewelry or monogram letters, garters, hair pieces, hair jewelry, tiarras, aisle runners, clothing items (including but not limited to flip-flops, scarfs, tee shirts, robes, swim trunks, etc), toasting glasses (also champagne or flutes), coffee mugs, planning books, planning calendars, memory or record albums, guest books, purses or bags, candles and candles holders, flower girl books, ring bearer books, any item engraved or personalized or special ordered due to customers individual request.
    • Specialty Order products include all rose petals, dried rose petals, freeze dried rose petals, floating rose petals, pathway petals, silk rose petals or silk heart rose petals, Pomander/Kissing Balls.
    • Any rose petals order that "does not match the color reflected on the store's monitor". Sample petals are available for order at a very minimal cost and it is highly recommended that the samples be ordered to ensure that the color ordered does meet your expectations/color requirements/theme.
    • Rose petals that have an odor. The odor is not a defect/flaw but is caused by the dye when going through the production process and the manufacturer will not accept returns. It is typically the dark rose petals and you may notice the odor when you initially open the manufacturer's shipping package. To eliminate the odor: Remove the petals from the plastic shipping container. Place the petals into a pillow cover. Insert a dryer sheet and tie the pillow bag. Place the tied pillow cover into the dryer. Turn the dryer to air dry (NEVER USE HEAT). Run the dryer on air dry for a few minutes to remove the dye odor.
    • Vintage Items: Any item that was purchased in an estate sale or antique mall and the history or use is unknown. These items will have the word "vintage" or "as-is" written within the title or description of the product. These items are sold "as-is".
    • Used Items: Any item that was purchased in an estate sale or antique mall and the history or use is unknown but due to the assumed age of the item it is considered used. These items will have the word "used" written within the title or description of the product. These items are sold "as-is".

    D.   Special Order Products

    Special Order Products are those typically not held in store inventory by Elegant Wedding Accessories and must be ordered from the supplier/wholesaler/manufacturer on an order by order basis. Special Order items are non-refundable and non-returnable.

    • Products purchased and acquired from Petal Gardens, AZ Petals, Wedding Factory Direct Wholesaler, B.B. Crafts are not eligible for return/refund or exchange. Products ordered from Lillian Rose, Cathy's Concepts, Wedding Factory Direct/Elegance by Carbonneau or Hortense B. Hewitt that are personalized, custom, engraved or etched are not eligible to be returned/refunded/or exchanged. Any other product/order must meet the policies and procedures of Lillian Rose, Cathy's Concepts, Wedding Factory Direct/Elegance by Carbonneau, Hortense B. Hewitt or B.B. Crafts related to returns/exchanges and refunds. If a request is denied by Lillian Rose, Cathy's Concepts, Hortense B. Hewitt, Wedding Factory Direct/Elegance by Carbonneau or B.B. Crafts then Elegant Wedding Accessories must agree with their decision and no RMA for a refund/exchange will be issued.

    • Floral products including: Freeze Dried Petals, Lavender, Rose Petals, Silk Petals, Floating Petals, Bulk Petals.
    • Any product with an SKU that starts with 003-CARB is a Specialty Order product ordered and shipped directly to the customer from a wholesaler. Unfortunately that wholesaler does not allow refunds or exchanges. Elegant Wedding Accessories has no control over their procedures. No exceptions can be made. Please check product descriptions and or graphics prior to placing an order and if you have any questions please contact our Customer Service Department prior to placing your order.
    • Floral products including: Freeze Dried Petals, Lavender, Rose Petals, Silk Petals, Floating Petals, Bulk Petals.
    • Elegant Wedding Accessories does offer some products that are personalized and those products are ordered from our manufacturers and produced to our customers individual specifications. Each customer and what they order is different and each personalized product ordered by a customer is personalized per that customer's specifications that is inputted by the customer during the order/check-out process. That information is then reflected on the Email Order Confirmation that is sent to the customer and transferred to the manufacturer for personalization of their order.

      The staff at Elegant Wedding Accessories works very hard to ensure that all orders (whether personalized or not) are processed and received by the customer correctly but they cannot interpret orders placed by our customers. We understand that we all make errors. When errors are made by our staff or the manufacturers that provide the personalization service we work diligently to correct the problem at no cost to our customer. However Elegant Wedding Accessories is not responsible for errors there were not caused by our staff or the manufacturing process and in those cases the product is not refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged.

      Elegant Wedding Accessories offers photo (graphic, image) examples of the product being described, text (fonts) and color examples typically offered using .jpg or .gif images that are provided by suppliers/manufacturers or wholesalers. Because of the wide variety of computer's, monitors, use of smart phones, iPads and other electronic means of transferring/downloading graphic material by our customers, the color viewed by through those electronic devices may vary. Elegant Wedding Accessories cannot control those variences and therefore are not eligiible for return/exchange/refund.

      Elegant Wedding Accessories can only process the information that is inputted by the customer. Names and event/wedding date are options that are included on some but not all personalized products. If the input box(es) is/are reflected on the product description page the customer must actually type in the information to enable that information to be collected by Elegant Wedding Accessories and reflected on their order that is submitted to the manufacturer for production of the personalized product. If a box is left empty no information can be collected.

      Some customers prefer not to add personalization (it is an option not requirement) or they select some but not all options and because of that staff at Elegant Wedding Accessories must rely on the information that was inputted by the customer when the order was originally placed. It is the responsibility of the customer to review the Order Confirmation Email that they receive after placing the order to verify any and all information submitted to Elegant Wedding Accessories. If the customer does not contact Elegant Wedding Accessories immediately after receiving their Order Confirmation Email to correct/change any order, Elegant Wedding Accessories or it's staff cannot be held responsible. The order will be submitted to the manufacturer as it was submitted to Elegant Wedding Accessories.

      Staff at Elegant Wedding Accessories does not make any changes to a personalized order unless the request for change has been received in writing (email) from the customer prior to the order being submitted to the manufacturer for production. Information submitted to the manufacturers/suppliers by Elegant Wedding Accessories staff is the information that was inputted when the order was placed by the customer through the on-line store. The customer is responsible for the information they select via a drop down arrow, input or type into data boxes or do not input or type into data boxes.

      Staff at Elegant Wedding Accessories does not make individual judgments related to our customers personalization requests. The customers information is submitted to the manufacturer exactly as it has been ordered/inputted by the customer unless the personalization requested is deemed obscene or if the manufacturer cannot produce the characters requested by the customer. If the manufacturer cannot provide the personalization requested by the customer the customer is immediately notified and new personalization information is requested and submitted to the manufacturer.

      No changes to a personalized product can be made by the manufacturer once the product has been delivered to the customer.

    E.   Exchanges

    • Elegant Wedding Accessories is not associated with any corporation or franchise but is a retailer of specialized and limited merchandise.   Therefore, we may not always have large quantities or every color, size and style. If you find that you ordered the wrong size, color or style it is very important to follow the instructions for returning a product/order. Remember, many of our offers are for a limited product, one of a kind, style or color!  Therefore exchanges are made on a case by case basis. However, no refund/exchange/return is approved if an exchange of an original order was approved and then a second request is made for a return/exchange/refund related to the exchanged order/product. No exceptions.

    F.   Damaged or Defective Merchandise

     

    • If the product is defective follow the procedures for returning orders.  Contact Customer Service and submit the described information via email so Customer Services may begin working to resolve the problem.   Remember that all requests for returns must be received by Customer Services within 3 days of the date marked delivered by United Parcel Service (USPS) or the used shipping carrier and returned products must be received by Elegant Wedding Accessories within 10 days from purchase date.
    • If an order is received damaged through shipment and had been shipped directly from Cathy's Concepts or Hortense B. Hewitt, contact Elegant Wedding Accessories within 2 days of receipt of the damaged product.  Elegant Wedding Accessories will contact the appropriate manufacturer and request a replacement but a RMA process must be followed and the original product returned to: Elegant Wedding Accessories, 9706 Rosalie Court, Granbury, Texas 76049.
    • If your order arrived with damage to the outside shipping container go ahead and open the package.  We try hard to package all products in a way that would prevent damage caused during shipment.  Therefore the product(s) may not be damaged.  If the product did get damaged be sure to retain all shipping material and contact Customer Service within 3 days of the date marked delivered by USPS.  Elegant Wedding Accessories purchases shipping insurance through USPS. 
    • USPS may require you to retain the material, box or envelope, any interior packing material from the original package and may request to view the shipping material, container and/or take possession of the damaged item during the claim process. 
    • All products shipped from Elegant Wedding Accessories and arrives damaged must be processed following guidelines as specified by USPS.  Elegant Wedding Accessories cannot file a claim with USPS on your behalf.  The recipient of the package is required to file the claim.
    • If a personalized/engraved order was received damaged the identical product is eligible for replacement with the same engraving/personalization.  No substitutions.

    To request authorization for a return:

    Simply contact Customer Service by email within three (3) days of the date your package is marked as delivered by USPS to be issued a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To return the item the buyer is required to pay shipping and insurance fees.

    Return Shipping Directions

    • Return shipping is at buyer's expense, using the carrier of your choice (although it is suggested that the item is returned using the same carrier as was delivered. The item must be received by Elegant Wedding Accessories within 10 business days of receipt of a RMA number.
    • Once the RMA is issued by Elegant Wedding Accessories it is good for 10 business days only and the product/order must be received by Elegant Wedding Accessories within that time. RMA numbers cannot be extended or re-issued.
    • Locate and include your invoice or packing receipt with the return merchandise. We suggest that you make a copy and save it for your records.
    • Write the reason for return on the lower left hand corner of the invoice or packing receipt for each item you are returning.
    • Clearly mark your RMA number on every shipping carton being returned (not on the manufacturers packaging.  No return is accepted if any marks are found on the manufacturer's packaging.)
    • Securely re-pack the return merchandise, returning all accessories and tags that were shipped with the item(s) and the manufacture's original packaging and return in an appropriately sized shipping box. Use the original shipping box when possible.  (Anything shipped in a damaged or inappropriately sized box or received back in a damaged condition will not be accepted or approved for return/refund.)
    • Since USPS is utilized by Elegant Wedding Accessories as the shipping carrier, we suggest you use USPS to return your merchandise, and for your protection we also recommend you insure the package against loss. An order shipped by the customer without shipping insurance and not received by Elegant Wedding Accessories will not be refunded. Request a delivery confirmation and save your shipping receipt until you receive your refund. To locate the USPS drop-off location nearest you, visit on-line at USPS.
    • No COD returns of any kind are accepted.

    You will receive a confirmation email after we have received the package, examined the products, and approved it for processing.  Note: if the product being returned is reflected above as non-refundable or not returnable then no refund can be issued even though a RMA# was issued.  The receipt of a RMA# does not automatically qualify a refund for products returned.  Any shipping, handling, insurance and restocking fees will be deducted from the original amount paid.   The approved refund amount will be issued to the credit card originally used to place the order.   Allow two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement.  Payment(s) made through personal check, cashiers check or money order will receive a refund check from Elegant Wedding Accessories minus shipping, handling, insurance and restocking fees.  No cash refunds are made at any time.

    Fees for Returned Products or Orders:

    • All merchandise approved for return will be assessed a 30% restocking fee per product. Any product returned to Elegant Wedding Accessories without following the above procedures will be assessed a 50% restocking fee or refused, returned to the buyer and no refund issued.

    • PayPal fees, shipping amounts (shipping paid to ship the order to the customer and shipping paid to return product to Elegant Wedding Accessories), handling and insurance fee(s) are non-refundable.

    Cancellation of Order:

    • If Elegant Wedding Accessories has not shipped your order or if the manufacturer has not engraved/personalized, shipped your order or charged Elegant Wedding Accessories for the product(s) you ordered then your order can be cancelled and you will receive a refund.

    • Elegant Wedding Accessories and/or its representatives reserves the right to cancel an order(s) in the unlikely event; the payment process can not be completed or if a manufacturer/supplier discontinues a product and inventory of that item has been closed;  the product ordered is out of stock and the order cannot be filled;  the order cannot be delivered in time for the wedding/event whereby Elegant Wedding Accessories will issue a refund for any payment made.

    Taxes, Duties, Tariffs and/or Brokerage Fees

    • Elegant Wedding Accessories is not responsible for any additional charges such as taxes, duties, tariffs, or brokerage fees that may apply to international orders.  Purchaser/buyer is responsible for contacting their officials/government office.

    Once the return has been received and approved by Elegant Wedding Accessories the refund will be credited to the original form of payment to the individual who originally paid for the order. Allow 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement or if paid by money order or personal check a check will be issued within two weeks.  Refunds are only issued to the original buyer/purchaser.

    If you fail to report a product as damaged or fail to request a return within the time frame required, the product/order is considered as being accepted by you and not returnable/refundable. Returns that do not meet these requirements will be refused; returned to purchaser/buyer and no return or refund will be issued.
