Lumatek e-ballasts give you the freedom to operate a high pressure sodium lamp or a metal halide lamp with using any switches, while giving you up to 20% more lumens. The light weight, compact design makes it easy to place in your growing area. There is no fan needed on this unit making it a truly silent ballast. No more annoying buzzing from a transformer or fan. Furthermore it can save you 5%-8% in electricity as it is more energy efficient than a standard magnetic core ballast. When using the dimming or Super Lumens function be sure to run your bulb for 10 minutes at 100%  before switching to a new out put level.  A great ballast all around, one that I use myself.
