A super compressed bag of 2.2 cubic feet of a chopped blend of hay and straw that is easy to carry and spread.  The bag will cover approximately 100 square feet 1" deep or up to 500 square feet 1/4" thick. Just apply at the desired thickness and then water it down so it will be locked into place. The chopped nature of the hay and straw allows it to interlock and remain where you want it once it has been watered down.  For newly seeded or reseeded lawns spread at the 1/4" thickness. For newly planted shrubs use up to 1" thickness. On gardens use from 1/4-1/2" thickness.  As the mulch decomposes it will enrich the soil, improves soil structure, is a source of carbon for microbial organisms.
