This is the time of year when we moms get serious and start our schedules for schooling our children. I want to be involved with your choices of critical thinking products for your children!

Every one of us needs to learn how to think, especially in the world we live in! I strongly believe that the time to think is Now! Our children face increasing pressure to go along with the crowd. When they learn logic and critical thinking, they are better able to stand up to that pressure and reason through life's situations.

Titles such as Word Roots, Reading Detective, Fallacy Detective, What Would You Do?, Media Literacy, Building Thinking Skills, and Mathematical Reasoning are but a few of the products I have to help children and adults learn how to think better!
These products incorporate critical thinking skills into the lessons so children carefully analyze what they are learning. Deeper analysis produces deeper understanding. Over time, children who practice critical thinking learn to apply it throughout their education and lives.  



Mathematical Reasoning emphasizes  problem solving and computation
to build math reasoning skills necessary for success in higher-level math
courses and on math tests. With the release of the new books
Mathematical Reasoning's core series
is now available for PreK - Grade 3.

Math Mosaics from MindWare aren't new but they do add
some spice to math facts drills..  and provide quick, visual
rewards for correctly completed problems for ages 5 - 14.

As students solve simple equations in Addition Adventures
and Subtraction secrets, they travel north, south, east, or west on a map...
Multiplication Mosaics and Division Designs have them
plotting correct answers on a graph that reveals a picture when completed.

The Media Literacy series from Teacher Created Resources
challenges students grades 5-8 to think about what they hear on television
and other news and advertising sources.  In this day and age
it is essential to hone discernment skills especially when faced with
the new breed of 'spin doctors'!  Great for opening discussions
and sharing values.
