Deadpool is equipped with a pistol, twin katana swords, and an assault rifle. Generated as part of the Weapon X program, Deadpool’s regenerative ability provides him with a subjective variant of near-indestructibility in addition to enhanced strength, agility and reflexes. This process also simultaneously disfigures him and contributes to Deadpool’s characteristic insanity. In his capacity as mercenary assassin, Deadpool is an expert swordsman and marksman, and an extensively trained martial artist. He appears in early issues of X-Force, and later, despite Cyclops’ intention to disband X-Force, Wolverine creates a new team, apart from Cyclops and the X-Men, which includes Psylocke, Archangel, Fantomex and Deadpool.
