I am just like you! Honestly¿.

We are all on a journey to becoming.  I was a chemist, computer manager and a project manager in the medical field. I raised three wonderful sons along the way to here.  I married the most wonderful man in this world but I did kiss a few others. I have a fun family!  I hold dear, but also let go, many wonderful friends in this flow called life. I have a gorgeous house, a loving Maltese and two economy cars¿.and, oh yes, that mortgage payment¿. I have that also. As I look back, life has been full of wonderful changes.  Only one thing has remained a constant in my life:

Color and Style.

Just as some are born to sing, I have always had a great sense of style and color balance. I dream in hues; deck out myself, my family, and my friends in the latest and/or greatest clothes; and reinvent my home and gardens with great routine.  I have learned to  reupholster furniture, sew clothes and drapes, quilt, knit, wallpaper, do flower arrangements, build furniture, reconstruct rooms; all with an abiding  grand flair and feel for  color changes¿and now,

 I make jewelry for many people. But everything I do has to include

Quality.

My beads are some of the most valued.  Where stated, I use genuine Murano glass beads. How to explain the luster or sheen, the opalescence, the rare beauty of a genuine Murano Glass Bead?  Well, Venice and Murano are composed of a small chain of islands at the edge of Italy.  Their history and success are bound together by the ancient craft of glassmaking and, to many, the cities themselves are synonymous with the finest and most beautiful handmade beads in the world.  Genuine Murano glass beads are made in the same traditions using techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries.  Each bead is perfect and unique, held to the highest of standards.

I use gemstone beads like turquoise, citrine, opalite, fire agates, tanzanite, jade, amethyst, amber, tiger eye, golden rutilated quartz,  calcite, solodite, marble, peridot, quartz, aventurine, lapis lazuli, smokey topaz, carnelian, fluorite and magnetite along with natural fresh-water pearls.  Some of these stones have been known for centuries to have healing properties.  In FAQS, I have a small section about the properties of all of the gemstones I use.

For metal, I only use 18K gold or gold plate, silver or sterling silver and 16K rose gold pins and hooks.  You will never find base hooks here, like nickel or brass.  I do look for unusual hooks for my earrings¿.they can add elegance and dimension.

My crystals and rondelles are only the most brilliant and exclusive: Swarovski or Preciosa.  Using other brands diminishes the overall qualities of translucence, vividness, sparkle and polish.

I started to knit with two needles about the diameter of toothpicks when I was six years old¿..my ancestors were from the ¿old country¿ where a girl learned useful arts early, I was repeatedly told.  Since ladies never discuss their age, let me just say that I have been knitting for many years.

I heard a story¿.I don¿t know whether it¿s completely true but it¿s funny and it has a purpose here.  A fashion photographer was having great trouble with a famous model: she couldn¿t (or wouldn¿t) tie her scarf around her neck the way he wanted.  So, he had a seamstress sew the ends of the scarf together, forming a loop.  He invented what I am bringing to you this year: a neckwrap.

Neckwraps are all the rage and they are fun to wear.  Some of mine are single loops and some are long and can be wrapped around double for that European look.  I also added another element: Pendant Sets.

I began originally to make a pendant to match my earrings and sew it on the neckwraps.  Well, people wanted to make changes.  So: (light bulb) I have put the pendants on pins.  NOW, you can wear the pins on the neckwraps, on a suit lapel, on a dress, your coat or even on a t-shirt.  They are very versatile.
