In the fall of 2006, my daughter was just over a year old and had been diagnosed recently with food allergies. We finished our weekly music class and were getting ready to leave when a well-intentioned mom put some Honey Nut Cheerios in my daughter's mouth. The incident could have threatened her life, but luckily it turned out alright after I quickly scooped out the cereal and thoroughly washed out her mouth. I thought, "Wow, that could've killed her. I need some way to let everyone know she is allergic to nuts!"

I went home and designed her stickers, and she has been wearing them effectively ever since. So many people commented on their clear warning and asked me how to get them that I decided to make them available to everyone. I feel good knowing that I can be part of other children's safety, too.
