Ancho Chili Powder

Ancho chili powder is simply the Poblano (Pasilla) pepper dried and finely ground.  It is mild and dark in color.

Poblano peppers are a staple in Mexican cuisine.  Great mild chili flavor for many dishes.  This one isn't well known but it should be!
