Tradition

1936

Like other innovators with a dream, einszett (pronounced Inz-sedt), was created by Werner Sauer Sr., who had a passionate belief that there could be a better product to maintain and enhance the appearance of the automobile. Mr. Sauer introduced in 1936, in the city of Köln, Germany, the first einszett car polish. Mr. Sauer stood apart from his competitors based on a simple philosophy that remains until this day: produce a premium quality formula without compromises to produce the best results. Mr. Sauer named his successful formula einszett (translated as "1Z") based on the number-letter designation assigned to license plates registered in Köln.

Present

Today, einszett is available in twenty four countries including North America and is still operated by the Sauer family. In an industry that relies on larger-than-life marketing, the Sauer family continues to operate einszett with old world German pride, integrity, passion and innovation -- everything Werner Sauer, Sr. committed to.
