EZ2Wire has been in business since 2003

It all started in the spring of 2003, when I bought an EZ Wiring harness kit to rewire my sons 1974 Opel Manta. I had bought their harness hoping that retrofitting my sons Manta with a universal harness would work. There was little guidance or even acknowledgement from anyone online or the manufacturer that replacing an OEM harness with a Universal harness would even work. Considering no one made a harness for the Manta and the harness was in bad shape.. I had very few options.

I had up to this point thought wiring was "tricky" and difficult. My concerns were doubles when I got the kit as the directions that came with it were simply horrible. They were crudely hand drawn and hard to follow. Fortunately my concerns were not justified as I found even with the directions that came with the EZ Wiring kit and my factory service manual, the project was pretty straight forward.

I knew that I had to work up something for my son to use, should he need to fix the wiring in his car at a later date. So using my computer skills I drafted out the 'New' wiring diagram for my sons car and contacted EZ Wiring to see if they would like me to redo their directions.. They did, and instead of paying me in cash, they paid me in wiring harnesses.

Being I had been on eBay since 1997, I put them up for sale with my guidelines and directions.. and to my amazement they all sold in a matter of a few days. I called back to EZ Wiring and asked to get an account set up, and thus EZ2Wire was born.

Over the years due to backorder situations, changes in the business environment at some of my vendors, etc.. I was forced to change vendors and left EZ Wiring. That's when I came across American Autowire and Kwik Wire. I got samples of their product and was astonished at how superior the fit and finish of these products were. I also realized even though they were technically selling the same thing, they were different enough in style and price that I should sell both and I did.

What I have strived for is being able to offer the lowest prices and keep my overhead as low as possible as well. So, over the years I have picked up other vendors of wiring harnesses and hot rod components to supplement my offerings from Kwik Wire and American Autowire.

With eBay continually raising fees and costs to run a store there, it made it impossible to do business. So I built this website and left eBay for the most part. Instead of being my major selling point, I sell there in limited quantities purely for advertisement purposes now.

We sell harnesses from the most basic to factory OEM style GM wiring harnesses (and some AMC) using modern wire for model years from 1955 thru the early 80s'. We cover a range of wiring solutions from the simplest rat rod harness, to basic universal harnesses, custom chassis harnesses, custom engine harnesses, OEM style GM Harnesses from the mid-'50s to the early '80s and everything in between.

Unlike other vendors We don't carry JUST one brand of harness like Painless Performance Wiring, Centec, or Ron Francis Wiring. We carry 5 different wiring companies product, each has its strength and weaknesses. From application to cost they all have thier niche.

EZ2Wire is also not like other vendors in our business model. We drop ship most all our orders direct from the warehouse. I am the sole employee, I built the website run the ebay listings, fill the orders, answer the phone, and check the emails. That said, you can feel free to call me any time and often calling after 5 PM EST Is the best time to call

Thanks for checking us out and I hope to make you a customer,

Charles
