This is the first in a series of location quilts. Shades of Hawaii! Available in a pattern and a a kit. The pattern is in both English & Japanese. The technique is fused machine applique. The patterns are full size.
The Shades of Hawaii Kit is the first in a series of location quilts. The kit contains the colorful hand dyed fabric used in the applique. (See Kit upgrade for the Hand Dyed Sky Fabric used in the background) Like all of our multi piece applique kits, the kit contains a color guide - all the pieces cut from one color are on the same piece of paper. Just position the fusible over this layout, and trace, iron to fabric and cut, remove paper backing position and fuse. Yes, of course, the kit also featured the same instructions and full size patterns that are in the pattern.
This item is the lovely hand dyed sky fabric featured in the background of this project. If you look at all the images, the single block Bird of Paradise and the single Ukulele are made with a solid color background, NOT hand dyed sky fabric. The full quilt was made with sky fabric. The upgrade is generous - two - 1.5 yard pieces of "Pretty Day Sky" and "Lake Sunset", it also has the pink fabric used in the border, and the blue fabric used in the binding. Oh, did I mention that if you buy the kit and the upgrade, we will send a free Ukulele Kit!
