About Ocracoke Restoration Company
Ocracoke Restoration is located on the beautiful island of Ocracoke, North Carolina. In business since 2001, we have offered our community and visitors a unique shopping experience. We started out 7 years ago offering antique stained glass windows, and have built our inventory over the years to include a variety of small antiques, fine antique furniture, vintage jewelry and new this year, a line of gorgeous vintage quilts expertly restored.
We also enjoy showcasing local artsts, and this year we have five special artists that we think are especially talented:
- Ken Barnhart loves the ocean and that is reflected in his beautiful deeply nuanced watercolors. He can be found in his spare time restoring a lovely reclaimed local church and a fish camp.
- Suzie Clark expertly restores our vintage quilts. She has loved designing her own quilts and has transferred her creativity to making sure our vintage quilts are in great shape.
- Alison Ellis is our stained glass artist in residence, traveling from Swan Quarter to set up shop at Ocracoke Restoration about once every week. She crafts all our new glass creations and lovingly restores or customizes our antique stained glass.
- Stephanie Kiker creates bold and fancilful art on tiles. We love her turtles, pelicans and lighthouse work.
- Steve Wolfe lives right next door - he's a photographer and a math teacher in the local school system. We are happy to carry his boldly colored interpretations of our island on canvas.
- We hope you can drop by and visit our 1,000 square foot showroom, but until then, we are glad you have come to visit our on-line shop.
