Saichania, Mongolian for "beautiful one", was discovered by Marya¿ska in the 1970's. Rows of ossified plates and sharp spikes defended this animal from predators, while the complex series of narial passages may have been useful in cooling the dry air of an arid climate. The Schleich Saichania measures approximately 20 centimeters long.
