Building upon the immense popularity of Papo's "family" of tyrannosaur figures, the company released this piece in 2012. The beckoning posture and large eyes are typical of many infant species; this "cute" appearance triggers a parental response in the adult. Little is known of the rearing behavior of living tyrannosaurs, though there is some evidence they may have operated in packs. Like most modern animals, the majority of these baby dinosaurs likely died within a year of hatching. Dinosaurs were r-strategists, which meant that they laid as many eggs as possible to contend with their harsh environment.
