AUTHORS/ Cavarnos, Constantine
Constantine Cavarnos, Ph.D., Harvard, was President of the Institute for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, which he had founded in 1956, and an eminent Greek-American scholar. He had taught philosophy and theory of art a a number of colleges and universities. He was the author of 36 books in the field of philosophy, Orthodox theology, Byzantine and modern Greek art and thought. He died March 3, 2011 at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Monastery in Florence, Arizona, and was buried there the same day.
