A NEW OILCLOTH MAKES THE WHOLE FAMILY HAPPY!  This is a slogan from a vintage ad promoting oilcloth in the 40's and 50's.  A new oilcloth table covering  inexpensively perks up the kitchen or any area in your home or business.   Our everyday price on oilcloth is among the lowest around.  We typically find oilcloth retailing for $15 a yard.  Our is always discounted and sold in 1/2 yard increments.  So, for example, if you want 2.5 yards of oilcloth you will order 5 in the quantity box.

Oilcloth is a long-lasting printed vinyl product on a sturdy woven backing.  It is 47" wide and much tougher than the flannel-backed tablecloths you find in big-box stores.  We always have around a dozen of our most popular oilcloth prints in stock and can usually get our special order oilcloth styles to your doorstep in just a few weeks - providing the manufacturer has them in stock (which they usually do).  As with any of the products sold at The Corner Station, you may return the oilcloth if you do not like it for any reason.

We cut our oilcloth as straight as possible but always add a few extra inches so you can "true" it up at home for your use.  In-stock oilcloth can be ordered in as little as a one yard length and will come folded gently in a priority mail box.  The special order oilcloth requires a minimum 4 yard purchase.  Entire bolts (12 yard lenths on a roll) of oilcloth can be ordered and the original price will be discounted by 30%.  This will be shipped by parcel post.  The oilcloth is sometimes a bit brighter in person than on the web photos.

Our oilcloth does not need hemming or serging - although you can finish the edges to your liking and use it in cut and sewn projects.  To clean, simply wipe the oilcloth with a wet rag, dish soap in the water is fine.  Do not wash oilcloth in the washing machine and do not iron it or put it in the dryer.  If your oilcloth is wrinkled, a few minutes in the sun will take those wrinkles out.  

The recent Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) prohibits oilcloth garments such as bibs and aprons or toys for children under age 12. This is due to the level of phthalates (a softener present in all vinyl) in the PVC vinyl of which oilcloth is made. It is constructed of vinyl with a poly/cotton scrim backing, printed by rotogravure.

We have been looking for a traditional oilcloth without phthalates but without luck so far.
