Throughout the summer at Soap of the Earth, you'll find my small still condensing fresh herbs into aromatic waters that are pure, natural and useful for our daily lives. Aromatic waters contain the plant's essential oil dispersed in micro-droplets throughout the water, thus offering a safe and gentle method for using essential oils. All the herbs distilled at Soap of the Earth are either organically grown on my farm or responsibly wild harvested locally. The waters are produced by the same process of steam distillation used to obtain essential oils. Aromatic waters are approximately 20-30 times more concentrated than a strong cup of herbal tea. Refrigerate for a higher quality product.

The ROSE has long been associated with love, compassion, perfection and beauty. The word 'rose' itself stirs emotions. Throughout the ages, the rose has been considered the quintessential expression of love. A closer look at the benefits of integrating aromatherapeutic rose products into our lives can, perhaps, explain the long history. Roses have long been used as a soothing balm, skin softening agent, aphrodisiac, hormone balancer, heart tonic, antidepressant and nerve tonic. They are antiseptic, antiviral and antibacterial. They have a remarkably gently healing effect on both men and women.

Rosa rugosa are rich in phytosterols and bioflavonoids. These phytonutrients are especially necessary as we age. Phytosterols act as building blocks for hormones. As long as we supply the essential nutrients, our endocrine system does its job of producing the correct balance of hormones for our bodies.
