Hi,

My name is Shirley and I started Touch Of Scent in 2002 after becoming unemployed with health issues from Scleroderma.I also had many sad losses of family members in a short time. I spent the summer very depressed because I lost the use of my hands due to finger ulcers and struggled with alot of joint pain. I tried to make the best of it, even though daily things like taking a shower, folding laundry, getting dressed etc. became impossible, my inner light was dim from all the losses. I prayed alot for God to show me away to move on without so much focus on the things I couldn't due and focus on the things I could. I used to be a veterinarian tech. so I decided to take my dog cody for a test to become a Therapy dog and he passed! This was the beginning... each week we visited nursing homes and rehabilitation centers for children and seniors, Cody did the work and I just volunteered my time, it was pretty incredible how after each visit I was feeling more and more inspired and my own healing started to begin.I became more aware of my surroundings and how they helped me to heal and I had this strong desire to share what I was learning on how we can take better care of ourselves and our pets.So I pulled my disablity and passion of nature, aromatherapy, and the therapeutic benefits of pets together and Touch Of Scent was created...my journey at Touch of Scent is a on going learning adventure, not only do I get to do what I love but I get to meet and network with incredible people who have the same mission as we do here at Touch Of Scent,Everyones mission is to offer you the best products and customer service we can offer and to remind you "it is the little things in life " that is the most important!.So please visit my friends on our "Natural Pet" page,located at the top of the homepage.You will be glad you did!
