About MadAntsGear.com
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, located in Fort Wayne, IN, are a professional basketball team in the NBA Development League, the official minor league of the NBA. The team is directly affiliated with the Indiana Pacers, the Detroit Pistons, and the Milwaukee Bucks. The franchise was established in April 2007 and began play later that fall.
With seasons running November through April, the Mad Ants play 50 games per year against teams from all across the country. The D-League is a proven developer of talent; at the end of the 2010-11 season, all 30 NBA teams featured at least one player with NBA D-League experience. In the Mad Ants' first four seasons they have sent four players up to the NBA ranks.
In fostering the team's connection to the community, its players and staff promote health and wellness, support local needs and interests, and assist in educational development through NBA D-League Cares programs. Throughout the season, fans can watch all Mad Ants games on NBA Futurecast, the free live Web-streaming initiative found at nba.com/futurecast.
