Lemons and lemon juice have long been used to lighten and/ or bleach skin. It is not ineffective over time however may be far too acidic and irritating for many. Our Lemon Peel Bioferment is mildly acidic at pH 3.7 and is touted as being as effective as hydroquinone in efficacy without the drawbacks associated with the use of HQ. It is easy to formulate with and has a pleasant light citrus scent.
