As new mamas, we lived within a block of one another and became fast friends. One night we were talking and we each admitted that we would love to start a business together. So began our road to form jurnee. We had a couple of false starts but what we came back to again and again was the idea of creating products that allow people to stop and honor the moment they are in - in particular, to honor transitions. Our transition kits address every sense and may include lovely scents, beautiful music, words of wisdom and inspiration, delicious food treats and goods made of the softest organic cotton.

We are working to create a new type of work environment for women with families. With 6 children between us, we want to be an example for other new women-owned businesses, to show that you can live your passion and you can do it in a way that does not conflict with the other areas of your life.

We care about our earth and our resources. We are committed to using environmentally friendly alternatives whenever possible and to minimizing and eliminating waste in our products and in our operations.

Our products are carefully created and put together and our prices reflect that. We appreciate our customers and will provide them with prompt, respectful customer service.

Guiding Principles

4. We source items from mom-owned companies whenever possible.
5. We seek out and develop mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers whose guiding principles are consistent with ours.
6. We provide a family-friendly work environment with flexible work hours, telecommuting and will eventually include on-site daycare.
7. We respond to our customers' questions, comments and concerns with care.
