Now you can have the fun of FatCatKnits colorways without spinning, too! These sock blanks are two strands of yarn knitted together- just unravel and knit! Knit directly from the blank for matching two-at-a-time socks, or wind into separate cakes. You can also knit both strands together for heavier gauge- great for baby and children items!
Choose from 'Striped'* or 'Random'** color distribution. (Blank pictured is 'Striped' color layout).
*For the striped option you can select long medium or short color runs, or a combination thereof. Simply put a note in with your order as to your preference, or email Ginny at FatCatKnits@gmail.com. If you do not indicate a preference, dyer will make stripes according to her own preference at the time of dyeing. **'Random' color layout is unique to each blank, and determined by the dyer
Picture is representational only. As each blank is dyed individually, by hand, each blank should be considered a unique, one of a kind item. If you need a larger amount for a certain project, let me know and I can dye them all together so they will be most alike. Blanks are dyed to order, and usually ship within 4-7 days of purchase.
Content: 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon Weight: Fingering Weight (Sport to DK if knit with both strands together) Knitting Gauge: 7 - 8 sts = 1" on #1-3 needles (2.25-3.25mm) (loose knitters, try US 0/2.00 mm) (knitting with two strands together will approximate a sport/dk yarn) Amount: 462 yds/422 m per 100 gram sock blank (total yardage of both strands used as single strands) Care:Hand or machine wash/lay flat to dry (for longest life of your finished item, hand washing is recommended)
