Satiny soft 50% Merino/ 50% Tencel combed top. The Tencel adds strength and shine, and a satin touch. This blend is favored for lace and sock yarns, as it drafts quite easily, and has a wonderful drape. The Merino portion of this fiber will felt. Nuno felters esp like this fiber combination, as they get interesting effects with the felting Merino, and the non felting, shiny Tencel. Supersize means you get 1 1/2 four oz braids
This gorgeous colorway is the result of a very fun collaboration between me and Diana (Chewiedox on Ravelry, moderator of the wonderful Spindle Candy forum). When I did my studio fund fundraiser back in Dec 2012-Jan 2013, Diana donated at a level which allowed her to name a colorway. I should have known someone so fibery talented would not be able to stop with just naming! Diana really challenged me with this colorway, asking me to use colors I would not have thought to put together. After a few test dyes, this is the result. Diana requested this colorway be named 'Mr & Mrs B' in honor of the wonderful Bosworths, husband and wife creators and sellers of the wonderful Bosworth spindles, as well as a bunch of other awesome spinning tools.
Stock colorways are dyed to order, and ship within 4-7 days of purchase. Please allow for variation between dyelots, and even braids in the same dyelot, due to the hand application of dyes. If you see a Stock Colorway you want, but not the fiber base you want it in, please email me atFatCatKnits@gmail.com. Also, if you want a larger amount of a colorway than is offered in the listing, I can definitely accommodate you.
