Handpainted Polwarth combed top. Polwarth fiber is sort of like a cross between Falkland and Merino. You get the poofy, squishy, soft characteristics of merino, but it has a crispness similar to Falkland. It has an average staple length, and is quite comfortable next to the skin, It will felt. Supersize means you get 1 1/2 four oz braids Named for Giselle- romantic, tragic, sweet and lovely.This colorway has a long, striping color sequence- perfect for self striping yarns. You can also break out the colors and spin separately for fairisle knitting and other colorwork, or strip the roving thinly and mix the colors up- they were selected to work well mixed together, too :)
Stock colorways are dyed to order, and ship within 4-7 days of purchase. Please allow for variation between dyelots, and even braids in the same dyelot, due to the hand application of dyes. If you see a Stock Colorway you want, but not the fiber base you want it in, please email me atFatCatKnits@gmail.com.
