The kit now comes with 13 - ss304, Stainless steel plates, 10 are solid ss304 (non-magnetic) plates & 3 are perforated plates. The rod and nuts are 316L. This new setup adds 10 neutral plates (2.5"x 6" each) to absorb voltage down to 2 volts between the plates, so it does not heat up, nor do the electrodes get eaten away or turn up red anode mud. * Buyer's Beware : No hidden agenda, what you see is what you get. This Clear Cell works better than more expensive 12 v steaming bethmoth cells on the internet for sale today. It is a cool running system, approx. 2 volts between the plates, it rarely needs cleaning, it runs more efficent by not producing heat and oxidation of the cell. This cell will last for years! Only about a 3-5% solution of electrolyte. The plates will tarnish a gold/bronze color after time, and a cleaning about every 6 months, unless you use highly minerailzed water. Many happy customers from a real experimenter's garage. Not a salesmen trying to make a million dollars, nor a bullshit rip off.
