The sandy loam and nutrients of the Nile River Delta are perfect growing conditions for producing this first grade, field grown, sundried luxury Chamomile which is very aromatic with a fruity and floral flavor.

The Chamomile flowers have yellows centers and white petals which make them almost daisy like in appearance and it is the essential oils in the flower that produce the pleasant aroma and fruity character.

Matricaria Recutita the botanical name is derived from the Latin term for womb, as the herb was used in ancient times for treating female troubles.

Chamomile has been sipped for generations for the relief of health problems ranging from toothache to nervousness but is probably most noted as being beneficial for soothing headaches, assisting with digestive disorders by settling the stomach and calming the nerves and the perfect tea if suffering from insomnia.

Chamomile should be consumed without milk but can be served with many others additions such as honey, lemon, lime, cinnamon or even peppermint! Be creative or just infuse alone for some aromatic Egyptian soothing.

2oz packets of loose leaf tea make between 20 and 25 cups of tea, though we recommend multiple infusion to enjoy even more of this fine tea.
