Chunmee Taipan Superior Loose Leaf Green Tea from the Hunnan Province in China has an emerald leaf producing a mild golden green liquor with a smooth clover-butteriness. This is an exceptionally fine spring tea grown 2-3,000 ft above sea level in Hunnan Province, China. Chunmee means ¿precious eyebrow¿ owing to the leaf shape, which is evenly graded according to the old techniques. Taipan was the name given to ex-pat business men who plied their trade in China and Hong Kong during the 19th century. Their life was exciting as they opened undiscovered trade routes, patriotic as they claimed territory for King, Queen and Country and luxurious as they amassed great fortunes on the frontiers of World Commerce. The Taipans had a taste for the finer things in life and an eye for beauty and Chunmee Taipan Superior was very much a product of this old World. The emerald leaf of Chunmee produces mild but bright, golden green liquor which has a clover-butteriness and refreshing smooth taste if brewed with water around 180 degrees. This luxuriant tea should be infused until the flavor of tea is exhausted. Brew a cup of enchantment and give yourself the deluxe treatment of a Taipan. 2oz packets of loose leaf tea make between 20 and 25 cups of tea, though we recommend multiple infusion to enjoy even more of this fine tea. Store in a dry place.
