This history concerns the investigative results of various individuals' efforts to determine the ancestry and descendants of Henry Weaver (son of Henry Weaver of Switzerland) who was born 22 February 1732 in Lancaster County, PA, and who died on his farm near Gettysburg, Adams County, PA, on 30 August 1807. In 1771 he married Elizabeth Smith who was born in Adams County in 1752. Several of their eleven children moved over a period of time to the area around Freeport, Armstrong County, PA, where they made significant contributions to its settlement and development.
