FIFTH SERIES, VOL. V - REVOLUTIONARY WAR MILITIA: BEDFORD, BERKS, BUCKS AND CHESTER COUNTIES, on CD. 2006 by Retrospect Publishing. CD contains the following books: 1. PA Archives, Fifth Series, Vol. V (Thomas L. Montgomery; Commonwealth of PA; 1906). Included on this CD are the Articles of Association passed by the Committee of Safety that outlined the military concerns and operations for the county militias, along with muster rolls related to the associators and militia for Bedford, Berks, Bucks & Chester counties during the Revolutionary War. Found within the muster rolls are list of officers and soldiers. In some cases the date of enlistment and discharge is noted. The muster rolls in the Second Series of the Pennsylvania Archives were found to be riddled with errors and were in some cases incomplete. This volume was reprinted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to correct the errors and omissions related to the militias of Bedford, Berks, Bucks and Chester counties.
