This CD contains the images of the original pages along with a full text search capability for the following books: PENNSYLVANIA ARCHIVES, THIRD SERIES VOLUME XIX - Provincial Papers: Proprietary, Supply, and State Tax Lists of the Counties of Northampton and Northumberland. The tax lists for Northampton include 1772, 1785, 1786, 1788, and for Northumberland 1778 through 1787. (William Henry Egle; Commonwealth of PA; 1898). The Pennsylvania Archives, often referred to as the published PA ARCHIVES, was published by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania over many decades from the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. Volume XIX of the THIRD SERIES contains various tax lists for Northampton and Northumberland Counties. For the most part, during this tax period Northampton and Northumberland counties contained the present day counties of Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clarion, Clinton, Columbia, Jefferson, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, McKean, Monroe, Montour, Pike, Potter, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Snyder, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming and parts of Armstrong, Centre, Clearfield, Forest, Indiana, Mifflin, Schuylkill, Venango and Warren Counties.
