Canal Days postcard features the Pennsylvania Canal as it ran by Newport, Pennsylvania in 1885. The image on the front of the card is a scaled down version of an actual 10' x 11' mural located in Newport and painted by Biruta Akerbergs Hansen of Liverpool, Pennsylvania. The postcard measures 6" x 9".
Two-day workshop where students will learn how to personalize a piece of leather (wallet or book cover) by transferring a pattern to leather, cutting, shaping/tooling, staining and lacing. Students should bring a wooden mallet or soft blow hammer and an exacto knife. All other supplies are provided. Ages 12 & up. Instructed by Charity Poleshuk.
