This magazine catch is a direct replacement of the original PolyTech part installed on AK47 rifles manufactured in the early 80's and imported by KFS Industries Inc. (Kengs Firearm Specialty). Crisp edges engage all types of Chinese magazines for reliable magazine retention. Constructed from steel this catch will hold up to the harshest conditions. The magazine catch is held in place by the magazine catch pin and catch spring. If you are replacing your catch, see PolyTech item# 70-00-12 for the original catch spring.

The Original PolyTech AK-47 and SKS parts listed on our website are NOS (New Old Stock) originally manufactured by Poly Technologies, Inc. of China between 1985 and 1989. These were produced at State Arsenals 416 and 386 during that time. The Poly Technologies AK-47 has the same specifications of the Chinese Type 56.
